The Scottish midfielder has been nominated for the top 30 European players after leading Napoli to the Serie A title as his former club finished 15th in the Premier League

Scott McTominay is the candidate to win the Men’s Baron D’ or lower in less than a year since Manchester United dropped off for just £25 million. Five Lionesses have also been nominated for Women’s Awards.

The Scottish midfielder is one of the 30 stars on the list after leading Napoli to the title and winning the Serie Ayer of the Year. Ousmane Dembele is a favorite that won the award on September 22nd.

However, the French striker is one of nine nominated Paris Saint-Gamer players, and votes for the winner of the Champions League split. Barcelona’s teenage sensation Ramin Yamal is the second favorite of PSG midfielder Vitanya. There’s a new winner not included after last season’s winner Rodri broke ACL ligaments last September.

Premier League champions Liverpool are represented by three players: Mohamed Sarah, Alexis Mac Alistair and Virgil van Dik. English stars Jude Bellingham, Harry Kane, Cole Palmer and Declan Rice have also been nominated.

United Academy alum McTominay, 28, is the first Scott to be finalist since Ally McCoist in 1987 after scoring 12 midfielder in his first season in Italy. His former club United scored 44 goals in 38 Premier League matches, finishing 15th under Reuben Amorin. The Portuguese coach was appointed in November after the sale of McTominay under the Erik Ten Hag regime.

Meanwhile, the five-man team that won the English European Championships have been nominated for this year’s Women’s Ballon d’Or.

Captain Leah Williamson was joined by Lioness teammates Lucy Bronze, Chloe Kelly, Alesia Arsso and Hannah Hampton after winning consecutive European titles over Spain at Bezel last month.

Williamson, Kelly and Russo are also one of seven Arsenals listed, but Hampton has also been nominated for the Jacin Trophy given to the best female goalkeeper.

Michelle Aggieman, the young player of the tournament’s Euro 2025, is listed in the Women’s Copa Trophy awarded to female soccer players under the age of 21, while Miles Lewis Skelly is a candidate for the Men’s Copa Trophy along with Yamal.

Chelsea, who oversees Bonpaster, completed domestic highs in his inauguration season. Meanwhile, Arsenal boss Threger, who was in charge of the team last October, unlocked the Champions League trophy.
