Paris Saint-Germain is on the verge of signing Lille star Lucas Chevalier as a new goalkeeper.
Gianluigi donnarumma is reportedly interested in joining Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain is approaching signing a new goalkeeper. Donnarumma is widely considered to be one of the best goalkeepers in the world and has played a key role in PSG’s recent success.
The Italian captain made 47 appearances in all competitions last season, making PSG the first French club to win the Continental Reble, winning the Champions League, League 1 and Coupede France.
However, Donnarumma has only signed a contract until 2026, and talks over new deals appear to be stagnating. According to a report by L’Equipe, PSG has agreed to a contract to sign Lille goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier.
The report states that a fee of 40 million euros (£35 million) has been agreed to at age 23, with the exception of the bonus. PSG hopes to secure a move in time for the European Super Cup clash with Tottenham on August 13th.
As a result, it appears Donnarumma is planning to leave Paris this summer, with TeamTalk reporting that United “officially registered their interests.” The report says that United believes trading is “very difficult” at this point, but that could change.

Donnarumma is said to be keen on the move to Old Trafford due to United’s height despite not making the Champions League next season and behind the worst Premier League finish.
Andre Onana is now United’s first-choice goalkeeper, but after joining the club from Inter Milan in 2023, he fired fire after making a series of high-profile mistakes. And when asked about his future earlier this summer, Onana said: “Would I leave? I don’t know, we’ll see!”
However, United boss Reuben Amorim helped Onana to enjoy a hugely improved campaign this year. “I think you can see the goalkeeper even when you talk about Andre,” Amorim told reporters.
“Even Tom (Heaton) is a different goalkeeper. Altai (Bay Indeal) has really worked out. Like the rest of this year, Onana will be better.
“Nutrition is better, how we cook, what we eat, how we prepare for training. I think we are more organized. I think we have people now who will help us get better.
“So they help us and help us think more about watching the game, watching the team. So that’s a big help for me. When it’s a big help for the technical staff, it’s a big help for the players.”
