There was also much debate over the choice of uniform, with Argentina receiving special permission from FIFA to wear a dark blue away strip.
They have a winning record against England wearing their secondary colors as opposed to the iconic blue and white stripes.
Tonight’s game could see the Three Lions reach their first World Cup final since 1966, but Guehi is under no pressure ahead of kick-off.
He believes the onus is on defending champions Argentina to ensure that they are not stripped of their title as they aim to win back-to-back titles.
Guehi told BBC Sport: “What’s the pressure? The onus is on them. They’re world champions.” He then issued a nine-word challenge, adding, “They need to come out and defend the title.”
The defender continued: “It’s a big game with big players. Both teams have great players. If we can do that, it’s going to be a good game. You know it’s going to be a fun game and we’ll be talking for a long time.”
The main challenge for England will be how to stop Lionel Messi, who will be playing against the Three Lions for the first time.
Asked about the threat Messi poses before the match, coach Thomas Tuchel said: “They support Messi and are on board with the idea of helping him and are ready when he steps up to make a difference.”
“Of course we will prepare for it. Can we prepare for it and find the recipe and focus too much on him? No. We need to be brave in front of him, we need to stop supporting him and we need to be aware of every movement that happens when he is on the ball.”
“We are fully aware that they can’t stop him all the time and 100 percent. He’s a completely different player to Erling Haaland, but we did very well in our way and probably the way we should play against Erling. We’ll find a way from now on.”
