England captain Harry Kane has described playing golf with US President Donald Trump as a “pretty surreal experience”.
President Trump revealed earlier this week that the two have played a round together before, telling reporters: “I think Cain is a great player. We’ve played golf together and we really like him. He’s a good golfer too. Really great.”
Kaine said it happened a year and a half ago in Florida and said she was jealous of the 80-year-old President Trump’s golf skills.
“Honestly, I was playing okay, but he invited me to play a year and a half ago when I was down in Palm Beach,” the 32-year-old said ahead of Saturday’s World Cup quarter-final against Norway.
“So when the president invited you somewhere, just to meet him and obviously play golf with him, it was a pretty surreal experience.
“Honestly, he’s pretty good at golf. I wish I could be as good at golf as he is when I’m his age, that’s for sure.”
“It was a unique experience, but I was just grateful that he invited me to play.”

The comments came as England are scheduled to play Norway in Miami in the World Cup quarter-finals this Saturday.
Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel said his team “need courage” to keep Erling Haaland at bay and reach the semi-finals.
Tuchel, who started the finals with a scare against the Democratic Republic of Congo, said the thrilling 3-2 win over Mexico was “all about the experience”, but success in the face of adversity remains in the rearview mirror as England refocus on Saturday’s match against Norway.
Heat, humidity and the small problem of keeping Erling Haaland quiet are among the hurdles facing the Miami team, and the German coach wants his players to improve.
“In general, I think what we need in the round of 32 and the round of 16, and how we put it together with the team, is just to find a way to win,” Tuchel said ahead of the encounter at Hard Rock Stadium.
“If you want a Premier League picture, it’s January, Sunderland, the FA Cup, Sunderland away, Leeds away.
“Go. It’s an adverse situation. The weather isn’t great. I don’t like the referee’s decision. I don’t like everything. They’re in front. They have an advantage.”
“We just need to get it done, if we want to get to Wembley in the end we just need to get it done.
“Don’t go out in January. Don’t go out in February. No one will ask you how you did it anymore. And exciting times are coming.”
“Then April comes and May comes and things might get easier, but by then you have your own identity and you have to let it go.
“This is the exciting part for me right now, but we need to let go. Now we need to connect with our identity, connect with what makes us strong, and lead the way and be brave. We need to be brave now.”
“It’s the quarter-finals. Fortune favors the brave. And when we play in the quarter-finals, we can’t have regrets. We have to go for it. That’s the most important thing.”
