Kop’s boss Arne Slot spent a lot of money at Anfield this summer, but Liverpool could also impress the chances of teen pairs Rio ngumoha and Trey Nyoni according to Dutchman.
Arne Slot will give teen stars Rio Ngumoha and Trey Nyoni a first-team chance this season. The Liverpool boss confirmed that both are part of plans for the upcoming campaign.
Ngumoha, who turned 17 later this month, was particularly impressed by the year’s preseason with the Reds, who landed him from the Chelsea academy. Slot states: “I don’t know how an individual will handle the situation. It was a year ago that Trey Nyoni scored the goal, and I think he’s against Sevilla, who was probably 17 years old.
“They can work around players like Virgil Van Dijk, Mo Salah and others, and work every day to make sure they are ready to run every three days.

“We are trying to develop them in the best possible way.
“New players who are 24, 23, 22 have already experienced being one of the players who are 16 years old and attending the academy, as they are experiencing very high intensity levels during the game or during training sessions, so we have to take care of them.
“We know that, but like Trey Gioni, it was a promising start from him because I think Trey played a very good game at Anfield (against the Athletic Club) three days ago.”
Slot kept a carp on Alexander Isaac on Friday. However, he suggested that Liverpool is still active in the market.
He said: “We think we have a lot of offensive power for our team when we think of Cody Gakpo, Federico Chiesa, Hugo Ekitike, Mo Salah, Jeremie Frimpong and Florian Wirtz who can play as right wing.
“We already feel that our current team has a lot of offensive options, but as always, as a club, we always see opportunities in the market, and that can also be in the midfield or the final line.”
