Chelsea FC v Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Pre-season friendly

Chelsea launched their mini-preseason program with Eric Ten Hag’s victory over Bayer Leverkusen. The recently crowned world champion has launched their Premier League campaign next week, with Enzo Maresca and Company leaning towards a big season.

As the sun began to set over the Golden Stamford Bridge, it was Star Boy Estebao that captivated me during the summer haze. The teenager, who first appeared since joining Palmeiras, cannot speak the same language as his teammate Cole Palmer, but he linked beautifully in the first half. Estevao marked Chelsea’s debut in goal and tapped the open net after Palmer’s original efforts fired from the crossbar.

The opening 45 minutes wasn’t played like a friendly fixture, but the strength certainly fell as alternatives began to be introduced. With the introduction of Jamie Gittens, the game has come to life, adding a new companion signature, Joan Pedro, a second behind. Achieve player evaluations from Chelsea vs Leverkusen.

Philip Jorgensen-6

Philip Jorgensen was not very often asked, so it would be better to bring a deck chair instead of gloves.

Malo Gusto-6

There are many positive aspects to Malo Gusto’s game, but he is often overwhelmed in the final third. The right back went into some decent intersections but failed to deliver.

Josh Acheampong -5

Josh Achairpon cut back on the nervous person behind him, making a mistake that almost led to Leverkusen equalizer.

Trevoh Chalobah -6

Following Levi Colwill’s injury, Trevoh Chalobah was able to see a few minutes increase during the upcoming campaign. It’s a change of fortune for the defender, considering he emerged from Maresca’s plans this time 12 months ago.

Marc Cucurella -7

Playing with strength that didn’t match pre-season friendship, Mark Kuklera caught his eye with his performance with Leverkusen. Effective at both ends of the pitch, Kukulera remains a key player for the Blues.

Moises Caiceco -7

Speaking of red arcs, Moises Caseco enjoyed his last adult season a little. His energy in the middle was lacking when he took off on a break.

Andrei Santos-6

It looked comfortable and struck a decent partnership with Moises Caiceceo. With all the games this season coming, expect Andrei Santos to have plenty of features.

Cole Palmer-7

Although he only got 45 minutes from boss Maresca, Palmer looked back at his amazing best. Picking up from where they left off at the Club World Cup, the British made a fuss about the pitch and linked them to Estebao in a stylish way.

Estevao -8

The man at the Chelsea moment. All eyes were Estevao’s match and he didn’t disappoint the thousands of fans stuffed into Stamford Bridge. Perhaps the beginning of something special?

Tyrique George -5

It had to be an impact, but Tyrike George seemed to be struggling during the 60-minute cameo. Sometimes it seemed like the youngsters were too trying to impress, and George would often pull a shot and make a wrong pass.

Liam Delap -6

He had to open his Stamford Bridge account, but was denied twice. Anyway, it was a positive outing for Liam Dellup. Liam Dellup managed to find himself in the starting striker for the capital club following the rumored departure of Nicholas Jackson.

Alternatives

Toshin Adaribioyo – 6

He was able to keep things firmly in his back and help Chelsea watch the game with his clean seat.

Pedro Neto -7

I was impressed by the Club World Cup and once again got lively from the bench. Pedro Neto has begun to turn shimmy inside and shoot a little bit of his left foot at the trademark.

Dario Essugo -6

The young man looked a bit like the rebirth of Kaiseko. A decent player.

Jorrel Hato -6

Jorrel Hato could have an immediate impact and could be another beneficiary of Colwill’s injuries. I put in a tackle that crunched the score at 1-0 and looked comfortable.

Reese James-6

A decent few minutes of Reese James’ feet, hoping to go ahead of the big campaign.

Joao Pedro -7

His energy was infectious and Pedro was happy to chase and fight every ball. The former Brighton star was rewarded with goals in the second half with a finish he took well from the edge of the box.

Jamie Gitens-7

It’s the best of the second half’s alternatives, intended to be that Jamie Gittens is trying to leave a positive impression on his new boss Maresca. The recent arrival is a constant threat on the left, and this season should play a major role for Chelsea.

Genesis Antwi -7

With his assist, he jumped out into the dying embers of the match, and undoubtedly caught the eye of Coach Maresca.

Aaron Anselmino-N/A.
