Viktor Gyoker may have reverted Arsenal to over £63 million, but Striker is not guaranteed to have a location for Mikel Arteta’s starting lineup.

Mikel Arteta is said to be the most difficult task of his career this season, dealing with his new, improved Arsenal team. The Spaniards have so far spent more than £200 million in their summer transfer period as they are trying to strengthen their teams to ultimately win the glory of the Premier League and Champions League.

The Viktor Gyokeres signature is the latest addition to the North London side, something fans hope to fix the striker issue. Swedes – the famous number 14 wearer in his new club, scored 97 goals in 102 games in the sports of CP, and arrived with high expectations to fire Arsenal into the silverware.

Despite the fanfare surrounding the 27-year-old, his place at the heart of Arteta’s attacks will not come without serious competition. Former Arsenal midfielder Anders Limpal warned him that if things like Gabriel Jesus, Kai Herberts and Mikel Merino struggle to take on the flying start, he would keep Swedish international on his toes.

“It’s still a preseason and everything can happen, but Gyoker is trying to compete with Gabriel Jesus first. Kai Havertz is a very smart and good player, and of course he can play the role of No. 9 and also watches Merino’s play in that role.

“So, in my opinion, Arteta has made four players compete in the ninth position, but if you sign the player on that calibre and sign with that kind of money, it obviously starts him.”

“But it’s up to Gyoker to score a goal and get a chance, as he’s not guaranteed a place in the starting lineup, but Arteta wants to be hell for his team to win the Premier League title and reach the Champions League final.”

Arteta managed to showcase more quality within the team, but with this, Limpar has made it difficult for the Gunners boss to admit that he has to juggle 11 unfortunate players to get frustrated by the lack of action.

“He needs 22 great players to win a big trophy and now he has four very good options for the role of No. 9,” he added. “It’s not a problem for Arteta, but it’s a problem for players, and if only 11 players can play, it’s a dressing room hell.

“He may have 10 or 1 unfortunate players after that. It’s the hardest thing for a manager. The hardest thing for a top club manager is dealing with 20 superstars, but he wants the best player and then it’s Arteta to pick the best player.”

Given the long-standing pursuit of Arsenal’s Gyoker’s signature, it’s clear how much they think they identified him exactly what made him special when Arteta discusses the completion of the transfer. “We are very pleased to have Viktor Gyökeres in the club,” he said.

“The consistency he has shown in his performance and availability is outstanding, and the contribution of his goals speaks for itself. Viktor has so many qualities. He is quick and powerful in advance, and has an incredible goal score at the club and international level.

“He brings a clinical edge with a high chance to transform the clinical edge into a goal, and the intelligent movements in the box make him a constant threat. We are excited about what Victor brings to our team and look forward to starting to work with him.
