Viktor Gyokeres finally joined Arsenal after prolonging a £63.7 million transfer.
Viktor Gyoker has promised Arsenal fans that patience during the summer transfer is worth it. Gyoker finally completed a £63.7 million transfer to the gunners on Saturday after painstaking negotiations with Sports Lisbon were dragged over for weeks.
The Swedish striker took a strike amid a fierce relationship with sports president Frederico Valandas and ended up preparing a legal letter. Sports drove hard bargains in consultation with Arsenal sports director Andrea Berta, but the deal was eventually completed.
Gyoker flew to Singapore and joined Mikel Arteta and his team on the preseason tour, meeting his new teammates before winning at Newcastle on Sunday. He was able to make his Arsenal debut in a match against Tottenham at Hong Kong’s Kaituck Sports Park on Thursday, and was able to rarise.
Arsenal supporters are eager to sign centre forward for a long time, as they finished second in the Premier League in three consecutive campaigns. Gyoker has not lacked confidence, scoring 97 goals in 102 appearances to play sports in all competitions.

“The longer the taste, the better the taste,” he wrote on Instagram along with a photo of him celebrating the mask. The first words of the 27-year-old after signing show what his main focus is. “I always want to score,” he said.
“I can’t wait to be part of this club and score with this kit and to score in front of all the supporters. It makes me feel amazing. I started here (in the UK).
“It’s a great honor to play in your country, and it’s amazing to score goals for them. When I played in the sport, I scored a few goals in the Champions League so I feel I can be at that level too. Now I can come to the club at the Arsenal level.
Arteta is pleased to have his man. “The consistency he showed in his performance and availability is outstanding, and the contributions of his goals speak for itself,” said the Arsenal manager.
“Viktor has so many qualities. He has a quick and powerful presence in advance. He has incredible scores at the club and international level. He transforms the clinical edge to goals to maintain intelligent movements within the box.
Meanwhile, William Saliba is pleased to join his team rather than oppose him. He said: “We know how good he is. It’s scary to play against him. Of course I’m so happy he took him to my club.
