TNT Sports understands that Liverpool has agreed to a deal to sell Uruguiron futures Darwin Nunes to Saudi Arabian Club Al-Hilal, as it is initially worth 53 million euros to Saudi Arabian Club Al-Hilal.
Nunes, 26, is granted permission to travel and complete medical care before travelling.
His Liverpool career appeared to have been given a lifeline when the club turned down his deal during the January transfer period.
But now he’s headed for Saudi Arabia, and Liverpool is eager to get as much money back as possible for the Uruguayans.
The Premier League champion signed Nunes from Benfica in 2022 and is rumoured to approach the £85 million mark in a deal worth an additional £64 million add-on.
The deal will likely be happy to take, with a fixed fee of £46.2 million and an additional fee for add-ons of £56.6 million, which will earn a huge loss for the British club.
Interest from AC Milan and Napoli did not realize in a sufficiently important bid that Liverpool should consider, despite Nunez and his representatives seeking a move.
Nunez scored 40 goals in Liverpool’s 143 appearances, including 188 last season for Jurgen Klopp.
They are scheduled to face Crystal Palace on Sunday, August 10th at Community Shield, ahead of their first Premier League match against Bournemouth on Friday, August 15th.
