Liverpool reportedly turned their attention to Paris Saint-Germain forward Bradley Barcola amidst his dissatisfaction with Alexander Isaac’s pursuit. Newcastle United are willing to sell ISAK to dissatisfaction if they bring in a replacement. And they identified RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesco as their top target, but Manchester United are set to beat them to the Slovenian signature.
Both Newcastle and the Red Devils have submitted big money bids to Sesco, but the youngsters are believed to prefer the move to Old Trafford. That led Liverpool to further delay the pursuit of Isaac, who trains separately from his magpie teammates, while promoting his travels away from St. James Park.
Liverpool has seen a £110m bid being rejected by Newcastle, who cherishes Isaac, nearly £150m. Rather than burning holes in the pocket while waiting for the right situation to occur, the red is believed to be squeezing the bids of other targets.
They were interested in ISAK and were able to return for him before the deadline, but L’Equipe claims they are also looking at Merseyside Club and PSG Star Barcola.
The 22-year-old hit double numbers for goals and assists in League One last season, but he is not a guaranteed starter under Luis Enrique. Luis Enrique can also call out megastars like Desire Doue, Ousmane Dembele, and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Liverpool is said to be a long-term adorable member of Barcola, and can work in their favor when it comes to rocking him towards Anfield. PSG paid £43.6 million in 2023 to sign Barcola from Lyon.
Barcola is primarily a winger, but can also play as a central striker. The young man is already a full French international with 14 caps and two goals resumes.
Real Madrid star Rodrigo will also appear on Liverpool’s list of offensive targets. They aim to put the cherries on the already very productive summer transfer window.
It remains to be seen whether Barcola or Rodrigo will become Liverpool’s final prosperity, or whether he will complete his splurge when Isaac’s British record tries to defend his Premier League title.
