Tom Brady destroys Wayne Rooney with a terrible statement in a brutal documentary

Wayne Rooney endures nightmare spells as Birmingham City Manager, and the new documentary shows that he’s been attracting attention for the former England star’s tenure

Birmingham City part-owner Tom Brady can be seen questioning Wayne Rooney’s abilities in a documentary about the Championship Club. Rooney was set up as manager after the famous acquisition, but the season continued, and his successor couldn’t float the Blues.

Chris Davis took over as manager in the summer of 2024, securing an immediate promotion to tier 2. However, in new footage from the 2023-24 campaign, the club’s previous issues are naked.

The new documentary, “Builting In Birmingham: Brady & The Blues,” is scheduled to drop on Amazon Prime on Friday. In addition to his up-and-coming rivalry with fellow promotion chaser Wrexham last season, the documentary features behind the scenes footage from the Blues’ relegation and subsequent promotions.

“I’m a little worried about the head coach’s work ethic,” you can hear former NFL star Brady tell business manager Ben Rouzitz after visiting the Birmingham training grounds when he was in charge of Rooney. Rawitz responds, suggesting that the boss “runs in a bad mood.”

Brady spoke to Rooney amid concerns about the team’s efforts, telling the former England striker:

When Rooney took over in October 2023, Birmingham sat fifth in the Championship Table. They fell on the 20th by the time they were fired in January, and came down on the last day despite having gone up to 50 points on the last day.

“I gave good advice, ‘Go there and don’t make any drastic changes. You guys have time,’ Brady warped, as reported by the sun. “But we made shrewd changes to decay us, and that’s what we were doing.”

Rooney took another opportunity to manage last season’s championship and took over at Plymouth Argyle. It was also short-lived, with the 39-year-old being fired in December, and Argyle was ultimately struggling with demobilization.

Meanwhile, Birmingham flourished under Davis last year. They recorded League One, scored 111 points, won 34 matches out of 46 matches, and scored 19 points for Wrexham, runner-up.

The club’s owners supported Davis in the transfer market, while strikers Jay Stansfield and Alfie May slam the goals to help with the Blue Scrinch promotion at Canter. May has moved ever since, but it was another busy summer when the academy product Demarai Gray was taking part in St Andrews and former Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi from Rennes.
