Arsenal hope to further strengthen their Premier League title bid with two big signings in Morgan Rodgers and Julian Alvarez, but they will need to let players go to make ends meet.
As many as eight Arsenal players are in contention for sale as the Gunners plan to have a successful summer transfer window. Manager Mikel Arteta is keeping an eye on Morgan Rodgers and Julian Alvarez as he looks to help Arsenal win the Premier League title.
However, neither Aston Villa playmaker Rodgers nor Atletico Madrid forward Alvarez will come cheap as both players are in high demand. Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested in Rodgers, 23, while Barcelona have already made an £87m bid for 26-year-old Alvarez, which Atletico quickly rejected.
Both players could be the subject of a bidding war, so Arsenal will need to come up with cash if they want to land the pair. Two obvious candidates for sale are Fabio Vieira and Reiss Nelson, who have each spent the past few seasons on loan.
BBC Sport reports that Arsenal bosses will also listen to offers for Christian Norgaard and Ben White, who only joined the club a year ago. There is also uncertainty over the future of Ethan Nwaneri, who spent the second half of the season on loan at French giants Marseille.

Furthermore, the trio of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard are all out of contract in June 2027, so this could be Arsenal’s last chance to cash in. Arteta brought in a number of new forwards last summer, but his side still struggle to create chances in big games like Saturday’s loss to PSG in the Champions League final.
Rodgers provided 11 assists in all competitions for Villa, including one for a goal in the Europa League final. The England international was instrumental in Unai Emery’s side’s 3-0 victory.

The paper adds that Rodgers is open to joining Arsenal. There is also speculation that Villa may be forced to sanction his departure in order to comply with UEFA’s financial regulations.
Alvarez is the Gunners’ dream signing but faces stiff competition from Barcelona, who are considering making another offer. The Argentine’s replacement will likely be Bournemouth’s Eli Junior Crupi.
Crupi, 19, recently broke the record for most goals by a teenager in his debut season in the Premier League, scoring 13 goals as Bournemouth finished sixth. His goal against Manchester City last month effectively sealed the title for Arsenal.
Elsewhere, Arsenal are one of several clubs chasing Leicester’s 16-year-old prodigy Jeremy Monga. A court may be needed to determine Monga’s signing fee.
