Bruno Fernandes continues to win individual accolades and is currently named Premier League Player of the Year, adding to the FWA award he recently won.

Bruno Fernandes has had a brilliant year at Manchester United, scoring the most assists in a season and being named Premier League Player of the Year alongside Thierry Henry and Kevin De Bruyne.
Fernandes was also named the Football Writers’ Association’s Male Player of the Year, making him the first Manchester United player to win the Men’s FWA Award since Wayne Rooney in 2010.
The Portuguese showed his creativity, scoring eight goals and going on to score another 20. He leads many metrics in the final third and the playmaker continues to shine for the Red Devils.
He has been an integral part of the team’s resurgence since January and proved to be crucial in helping them climb to third place and qualify for the Champions League. Fernandes’ 20th assist of the season saw him join Brian Mbeumo in a 3-2 win against Nottingham Forest last week, joining De Bruyne and former Arsenal striker Henry in the illustrious ranks.
Fernandes has created 132 chances this season, the most in the Premier League, and 43 more than the next best player, Liverpool’s Dominik Szoboszlai.

The Red Devils star emulated David Beckham as United’s top creator and has now surpassed him. He holds the record for most assists in a single season in the Premier League by a Manchester player, which was 15 in the 1999/2000 season.
Fernandes is one of the favorites to win the PFA Player of the Year award, capping off a sensational year on an individual level. The United star will face competition from Arsenal’s pair of Gabriel and Declan Rice. No United player has won the PFA Award since Wayne Rooney in 2010.

Despite his impressive efforts, Fernandes recently told Sky Sports that his achievements will be judged by his team’s actions. “I didn’t achieve everything I wanted,” he said. I have never hidden my desire to win the Premier League and Champions League with this club. Maybe I’ll do it, maybe I won’t. But I’m going to try until I get the chance or until I’m here to do it.
“Will it be difficult? Yes. There are top clubs in the league who have been winning for years and have always been there, but we are not.”
