Arsenal are Premier League champions and the Gunners are looking for ways to turn this season’s victory into an era of dominance under Mikel Arteta.
Mikel Arteta will be rewarded with a new contract and further transfer fees for Arsenal’s title bid.
Arteta’s current contract expires in 2027, so Arsenal are keen to extend the title-winning manager’s contract by two years. Gunners manager Arteta has done a remarkable job in his six-and-a-half years at the Emirates, leading the club to their first Premier League title in 22 years.
Arteta has now established himself as one of Europe’s top coaches and knows he can effectively set his own price, but the huge Champions League bonus will certainly mean a significant improvement on his current salary of £5m a year. Arsenal are also planning another big summer transfer window, which is likely to see new signings as well as departures.

Gunners sporting director Andrea Berta is keen to strengthen Arsenal’s front line by targeting Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez. Alvarez is appealing because he is proven and prolific at the top level and can play in a variety of positions, which is a key addition to Arsenal’s squad.
They want to strengthen their left wing and central midfield with West Ham’s Matheus Fernandes, and he is one of the candidates they are considering, along with Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali.
They are also keeping an eye on Porto’s Victor Fromholt, but would ideally want a centre-half to strengthen their squad.

There is no doubt that Arsenal will need to sell this summer, and they won’t have as much room to sell as they did last year, when they spent £250m on the likes of Victor Goqueres and Noni Madueques.
Gabriel Jesus has one more year left, and while he may come off as a substitute due to lack of game time, there is also the possibility that a big name may leave the club to make ends meet.
Borussia Dortmund tried to sign Etan Nwaneri last summer, but Arsenal remain interested as they face the possibility of having to sell the academy product for pure profit.
Gabriel Martinelli is also receiving strong interest as he is no longer guaranteed to be a starter.
