Arsenal’s team will receive a hefty salary if they win the Premier League title. The Gunners have won England’s top flight for the first time in more than 20 years and manager Josh Kroenke has ensured his players are well rewarded for their achievements. According to The Times, there is a bonus scheme in place where each member of the Arsenal team is given around £6,000 for every appearance they make if they win England’s top flight.

According to the report, players are also expected to receive prize money through a distribution of millions of dollars worth of bonus pools accumulated throughout the campaign, determined by their performance in cup competitions. This will be distributed to all players depending on their participation status at the end of the season. At the moment it is unclear exactly how much money the Gunners have set aside to distribute, but certain members of the squad could pocket close to £250,000 in bonuses for their contributions in the Premier League.

David Raya and Martin Zvimendi appear to be expected to earn the highest salaries. If he plays on Sunday afternoon, when Arsenal play Crystal Palace on the final day of the season, he could earn a £228,000 appearance bonus. They are maximizing their earnings by playing in every Premier League game this season.

Bukayo Saka, Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba have each made 31 appearances so far and will each earn around £192,000 if they play this weekend. Kepa Arrizabalaga, on the other hand, has not played at all in the Premier League this season.

So unless the former Chelsea goalkeeper plays in this weekend’s game against the Eagles, he will not receive an appearance bonus for Arsenal’s win in England’s top flight. However, if he does feature, Kepa will be paid £6,000, the lowest of any senior player in Arteta’s team.

According to The Times, Arsenal players will also receive a bonus if they win the Champions League. The Gunners are due to play Paris Saint-Germain at Budapest’s Puskas Arena later this month, and Kroenke could face a multi-million dollar bill.

The report claims that tournament prize money accumulated by qualifying and progressing to the later stages will be used to pay out “multi-million pound bonuses” to teams. It is said that each Arsenal player could earn around £125,000 if they play in the final and win.

The newspaper says some of the Gunners’ squad have already saved around £25,000 for each leg of the semi-final against Atletico Madrid. He added that players who started at least 60 per cent of Premier League games last season would have earned between £750,000 and £1 million just by qualifying for Europe’s elite competition.

After Monday night’s win over Burnley at the Emirates Stadium, Mikel Arteta spoke to journalists about the title race. “We did what was in our hands,” the Spaniard said.

“Since the away game against Man City, we said we had five games left. We’ve done four games, maybe one more game or tomorrow night something great could happen.

He added: “It’s incredible to see what we’ve created in this stadium. Of course I have memories of the past, but to see the comparison is incredible. I’m very proud of it.”

“Today they have created something very special outside the stadium, inside the stadium. Now we can deliver it and we know the result, so they have set a standard that we are responsible for upholding.”
