West Ham are on the brink of relegation and will be weighing the heavy price of losing their Premier League status, with a number of departures expected.
West Ham face a huge fire sale of more than £100m this summer if the deal falls through.
England winger Jarrod Bowen is a target for the likes of Newcastle and potentially Everton if West Ham lose.
There is also a lot of interest in Portuguese midfielder Matheus Fernandes, with Arsenal the latest team to check him out, but Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also among the top clubs attracting attention.
If Tottenham are relegated, Nuno Espirito Santo is likely to take over as manager, which would be their first relegation since 2011. And with West Ham’s defeat at Newcastle putting the club on the brink, that fate could come as early as Tuesday night if Tottenham beat Chelsea.
The bigger concern for West Ham is the financial hit as they have a huge stadium, big wages and big name players. They will immediately lose on-loan Chelsea defender Axel Disasi, who has made a huge impact but does not want to remain in the Championship.

However, the sale will not encourage players to leave and will be a huge blow to West Ham as they try to balance their books and relegation.
That may be why Bowen, despite clearly having his heart set on the club and being a huge fan favorite, has to be sacrificed.
Bowen, 29, was signed by former manager David Moyes for £22 million in 2020 and scored the winning goal in the Europa Conference League final.
But it will be difficult to keep him with big clubs circling and he also has ambitions in England ahead of the World Cup.
Fernandes, 21, was signed for £42 million from Southampton last summer and despite a slow start and problems at the club, he was a huge hit and caught the eye of big clubs.
They are likely to try to make a huge profit by signing Fernandes, but they will also know that the club will find themselves having to sell.
However, the fallout from one of the Premier League’s biggest clubs over the past few seasons has been significant, with them potentially losing their best players and their best hope for a quick comeback.
