It appears that his son Hyun Min played the final game of Tottenham.
His son Hyun Min was in tears after playing for Tottenham as the Koreans prepare to leave their North London outfit.
The forward confirmed he would leave the Spurs this summer, but he finally captained the side when he played Newcastle in pre-season friendly in his hometown.
The son was given a guard of honor from both players’ sets when he left below, but he was seen crying with his head in his hands on the bench as the Tottenham icon shed tears. He was later caught in the spotlight as he was caught in the air by his teammates.
He is currently in advanced discussions to join the MLS Side LAFC. The former Premier League Golden Boots winner confessed that he recognized it as a very challenging decision to do it, but the club continues to make changes as they embark on a new era.
His son is now 33 years old and last season he wasn’t as influential as he has ever been. New manager Thomas Frank continues to pursue and capture new players who are likely to hinder South Korea’s playing time and involvement.

The new Tottenham boss also gave a rather clear hint that his outing in his hometown of South Korea is likely to be his son’s final appearance, as he declared him “one of the best players to play in the Premier League.” Frank said:
His son scored 173 goals in 454 matches for the Spurs and captained the first trophy of 17 years to beat Manchester United in the Europa League final last season. That game at Bilbao may turn out to be his final competitive appearance for the club.
It was the forward who lifted the trophy, and jokingly he claimed that after becoming a centre before a historic moment, he was now a club legend.
“Let’s say I’m a legend. Why?” he told TNT Sports after the final. “17 years – no one has done it, so let’s say (I) are probably a club legend with amazing players. This is what I’ve always dreamed of. Today is the day it happened. I’m the happiest man in the world.”
