Casemiro has played alongside some of the greatest players of the modern era, including Real Madrid legends Cristiano Ronaldo and Luka Modric, but admits Gareth Bale stands out as “the most complete player”.

Casemiro has confessed that Gareth Bale is the “most complete player” he has played with in his career, despite Rio Ferdinand’s shock at not mentioning Cristiano Ronaldo by name.
The outgoing Manchester United midfielder enjoyed a golden era with Los Blancos, winning numerous trophies alongside some of the greatest players of our time. Among them are Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Luka Modric, Sergio Ramos and Toni Kroos.
However, it was Bale who made a then world record move from Tottenham to Real in 2013 who left a big mark on Casemiro. The Welshman started his career as a left-back and continued his development as he progressed onto the pitch.
By the time he reached his peak, Bale had become a prolific left winger, scoring in both of Madrid’s Champions League finals and scoring the winning goal in 2018. Casemiro insists his all-round play was unparalleled.

Casemiro continued: “Because he attacks, he defends, he scores heads, he commits fouls. He’s very good at everything, he’s very fast. He’s too strong. And for me, Bale is an incredible player. An incredible player.”
Ferdinand said he was stunned, highlighting how Casemiro played alongside Ronaldinho and Neymar on the international stage. Like Ronaldo, they too were sensational in the final third, but Bale’s ability to be effective in both thirds clearly set him apart in the hearts of Brazilians.

Bale spent just under a decade at Real, scoring 106 goals during a controversial period. Although he was never universally loved by Bernabéu fans, he was instrumental in many of the club’s successes. He helped the team win La Liga three times and the Champions League five times.
The Welshman previously admitted: “I don’t think it was good enough for Real Madrid, for the fans. I was stubborn and didn’t want to change, but if I had played a little bit better I wouldn’t have been a target for the press and the fans.”
