TalkSPORT host Alan Brazil has released an emotional statement about his recent health issues. The radio presenter has been absent from TalkSPORT’s breakfast show for some time after the Brazilian government revealed he underwent “lifesaving surgery”.
Brazil has hosted the show for over 25 years and has been part of the talkSPORT team since its inception in 2000. However, his absence was noted by regular talkSPORT listeners, with many questioning Brazil’s whereabouts during his absence.
The former Ipswich and Scotland striker explained in a statement posted on social media: “Hello everyone. I hope you’re all doing well. Some of you may have noticed that I’m missing. I recently underwent life-saving surgery and am deeply grateful to the excellent medical team that cared for me.”
“I think it will still take some time for me to fully return to my normal self, but right now I am concentrating on my recovery in my private life. I would like to thank my family and those close to me for supporting me and putting up with me! See you again soon.”
