Real Madrid have issued a statement and taken action against two players following the incident at the training ground in which Federico Valverde was “rushed to hospital”.
Real Madrid have announced that they have begun disciplinary proceedings against Aurelien Choameny and Federico Valverde following an incident at the training ground. The second incident occurred after an altercation between the two that was reported on Wednesday.
Tensions seemed to persist during Thursday’s session. According to The Athletic, the incident began when Valverde made a violent challenge to Choameni during training.
It came to mind in the locker room. Real Madrid team-mates were forced to intervene and Valverde is said to have fallen and hit his head on a table before being taken to hospital.

“Real Madrid CF would like to announce that it has decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against our players Federico Valverde and Aurélien Choameny following the events that occurred during this morning’s first-team training session,” Real Madrid said in a statement.
“The club intends to announce a resolution to either case once the corresponding internal procedures have been completed.”
Sky Sports, HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+ and Ultimate TV packages

Sky has upgraded its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundles to include HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+ and Hayu, plus 135 channels and complete coverage of the Premier League and EFL from Sky.
Sky has over 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more, with at least 215 of them live from the top flight, along with F1, darts and golf.
Valverde has now returned home after undergoing tests at the hospital. Real Madrid announced that Valverde will miss the match against Barcelona due to concussion protocols.
“As a result of the tests carried out today on our player Fede Valverde by Real Madrid’s medical services, he was diagnosed with cerebral trauma,” it said in a statement.
“Valverde is at home in good condition and will require 10 to 14 days of rest, as indicated by the medical protocols for this diagnosis.”
The situation has led to crisis negotiations within the Real Madrid squad amid heightened tensions. General manager Jose Angel Sanchez was also in attendance.
The incident occurred just days before Real Madrid faced Barcelona in El Clasico on Sunday.
If they lose that game, they will surrender the La Liga title to their rivals.
This is not the first situation the club has had to deal with this season. Defender Antonio Rudiger was forced to apologize after getting into a heated argument with a teammate.
Kylian Mbappe is said to have had an altercation with the club’s coaching staff before the club’s 1-1 draw with Real Betis last month.
Neither player was expected to face any sanctions for the incident.
