Arsenal fans will face a shocking price tag if they want to attend the Champions League final later this month. The Gunners booked a spot in Budapest after defeating Atletico Madrid.

Mikel Arteta drew 1-1 away with the Spanish team before Bukayo Saka’s goal was enough to see him off at the Emirates Stadium on Tuesday. Arsenal will now turn their attention to the final, which will be played at Budapest’s Puskas Arena on Saturday, May 30th.

But if fans want to attend the finals in person, they will have to dig deep into their own pockets to pay for it. The lowest price for a return flight from London to Hungary is just over £900, but we expect prices to increase in the near future.

It’s not just the cost. Around 90% of all hotel bookings are already booked on Booking.com, with the cheapest accommodation in Budapest being hostels at around £250 per person. Some hotel rooms can cost as much as £12,000.

Tickets to the finals are not cheap either. ‘Fun First’ seats will cost just over £60, with Category 3 and 2 seats priced at £155 and £560 respectively. Category 1 tickets cost an astonishing £819.

UEFA does offer limited viewing tickets, but these are not particularly affordable at £120, £448 and £655 respectively.

After Arsenal reached the Champions League final, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta said: “It’s an unbelievable night. We’ve made history together again. I couldn’t be happier and prouder of everyone involved in this football club. What you saw of us outside the stadium was special and unique.”

“The atmosphere, the energy that our supporters created and the way they lived every ball with us made it special and unique. I had never felt that in a stadium and we knew how much it meant to everyone.”

“We gave our all and the players did a great job. After 20 years, we are back in the Champions League final for the second time in our history.”

By the final, Arsenal will be aiming to win the Premier League for the first time since 2004. The North London side currently sit at the top of the table, five points clear of last-place rivals Manchester City.

Arsenal face relegation-threatened West Ham this weekend before taking on Burnley at the Emirates Stadium. Arteta’s side conclude their campaign with a trip to Crystal Palace.

Arsenal will find out their final opponent on Wednesday night. Paris Saint-Germain lead 5-4 heading into the second leg against Bayern Munich.
