Liverpool have been regularly linked with a move for Bayern Munich sensation Michael Olise, but the Bundesliga side appear to have completely ruled out the possibility of him leaving this summer.
Bayern Munich manager Max Eberl says he is not considering letting Michael Olise go this summer. The Frenchman has had a sensational season at the Allianz Arena this season.
Olise, 24, contributed 19 goals and 29 assists to Bayern’s Bundesliga title. Vincent Kompany’s side have a Champions League semi-final against Paris Saint-Germain and a German Cup final against Stuttgart, and could ultimately win the treble before the end of the season.
Olise’s form has seen the former Crystal Palace star draw admiration from other countries, particularly from Liverpool, who are scouring Europe for a successor to outgoing Mohamed Salah.
However, there appears to be no prospect of withdrawal this summer. “Of course,” Bayern CEO Eberle said in front of ZDF TV when asked if Olise would stay.

Asked if his answer would remain the same no matter what offer Bayern receives, he added: “Yes, we don’t have time to think about anything.”
Olise has a contract with Bayern until 2029 and is said to have joined the German club from Crystal Palace in 2024 for a reported £51 million. Former Liverpool star Steven Gerrard is among those urging the Reds to make a move in his honour.
He told TNT Sports: “When full-backs play against wingers, they usually have a weak side and depending on the condition of their feet they show them in one way or another.
“His problem is that he can move in either direction. His right foot is as strong as his left. You want to show him with the right foot, which is probably his weaker side, but you can also see some of the assists he’s getting, finishing with his right foot. If you leave him in one-on-one situations, you’re going to run into big problems.”
Asked if he would take Olise to Liverpool, Gerrard replied: “All day. But the question is why would he leave Bayern? It’s a big club, they’re challenging for big honours, and they’re probably the strongest Bayern Munich team we’ve seen for a while.”
“He’s going to take the World Cup by storm in the summer. He looks like a really happy kid to me, calm. I don’t think he’s going anywhere.”
“But yeah, would I love him at Liverpool? And you know, I wouldn’t mind if (Luis) Diaz came back. I miss him, I miss him.”
