Marcus Rashford concludes his addition to Barcelona on a summer exit from Manchester United, but the Spanish champion cannot register him for La Liga.
Marcus Rashford will be announced as the new Barcelona player on Wednesday, but LA La Liga clubs will need to offload players to advance England.
The 27-year-old Rashford is on the verge of confirming his dream move towards Nuo Camp after being given green light to leave Manchester United. He initially joins Barca on loan, but the Spanish giant has an option of £26 million.
Rashford completed medical care in Spain on Monday. He prepares to seal off his second loan move with many transfer windows. He will be training for the first time with his new teammates on Tuesday before Barca officially announces it on Wednesday.
However, Barcelona is currently unable to register Rashford for LaLiga. Sky Sports has confirmed this issue. This has been a recurring result of Barcelona’s financial difficulties in recent years.
Barcelona is currently working to resolve this issue. This will require players to be offloaded permanently or on loan before the new season, resulting in some income. Interestingly, Barca agreed to assume a full salary of £35,000 per week for Rashford.

The Spanish champions are sure they can do enough to register Rashford. Barca is chasing off a new LA La Liga campaign to RCD Mallorca on Saturday, August 16th.
Rashford spent the second half of his 2024-25 campaign on loan at Aston Villa, and arrived at Nu Camp from behind a fantastic spell with United’s Premier League rivals, rediscovering his form.
The player’s desire to move to Know Camp is well documented and we look forward to becoming the first English player to appear in the Spanish Giants since Gary Rhineker.

With Rashford effectively gone, United will turn their attention to offloading four other players under Ruben Amorim, undoubtedly without a future.
Antony, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho and Tyrell Malacia are all available for transfer and training alone. Garnacho is linked to Chelsea and Napoli, but Antony is understood to be keen on his return to Real Betis, where he flourished on loan in his final semester.
