Liverpool 2-4 AC Milan: Dominique Sobosilai’s stunning goal wasn’t enough to deny AC Milan a victory inspired by Hong Kong’s Rafael Leeo as ARNE slots try to speed up players

Liverpool didn’t win the preseason tour after losing to AC Milan at Kaituck Sports Park in Hong Kong on Saturday. The Serie A side has left the 4-2 winner as the Arne Slot men are trying to find fitness.

The Reds dominated the ball early on, but were soon reverted to the ball with a break. Rafael Rio of Milan bent his leg and drove from the middle line after a pass from the Christian Purisic before being pushed into a narrow angle.

Nevertheless, the Portuguese star slammed Alison Becker with speed as Virgil van Dick couldn’t cover enough ground and the ball rose to the net at a post close to ten minutes later.

Liverpool was soon held ownership after being shown both teams showing sloppy football-related 2018 in July. However, Dominik Szoboszlai showed a class moment when the ball was laid off from an impressive Rio ngumoha.

In the middle, he produced curling tips from within the area, bringing a non-crowded score level to the body around him. His celebration was no different than his strike.

Halftime saw nine changes from Liverpool as slots provided full minutes. The Reds were once again punished by an early break from Leo.

Reuben Loftus Cheek played with the ball to allow Leao to run half lengths, but this time he returned the ball to England International. Loftasteek showed his clever legs before slotting the ball past Giorgi Mamardashvili.

The Georgia goalkeeper would have been frustrated that he could barely do about the effort an hour later. AC Milan once again ate the space left behind by the Reds. This time, through Alexis Ceremy Cars, before he found Okafor, who produced an impressive first-round finish.

Cody Gakpo gained late comfort with cushioned headers in stop time, but as they moved to the equalizer, Okafor added a fourth to Milan. Mirror Football looks at the points of the story that arise from defeat.

An injury has been confirmed

It was revealed before the match that Joe Gomez left the tour and returned to Merseyside to continue rehabilitating Achilles’ injuries. The central defender has played in just 11 minutes since December.

Arne Slot said: “Of course he was with us in the first part of the week, but there were some Achilles issues. I thought it would be better to rate it in the UK and work on him to get him back on the team in a situation that would probably be more ideal for him.”

With this decision, Liverpool has two senior central defenders in Virgil van Dik and Ibrahima Conate. And despite the important transfer business this summer, we reaffirm the need to strengthen the club at the backline after Jarrell Quanza sets out in the summer. Maybe I sort it before looking at Alexander Isaac?

Diaz and Nunes absent

Hugo Ekitike was given time to settle after arriving at the beginning of the week before heading to the pitch. The Alexis Mac Allister will also not be available after returning to training, and is expected to clear the play when the side tour heads to Japan.

Liverpool hopes Wataru End can also feature in his hometown after missing out on a match against Milan through illness.

But what’s missing from most eyebrow-raising team sheets are the names of Louis Diaz and Darwin Nunes. They came out of the tunnel, both cheered, taking their place on the bench of club gear.

The duo is linked to a possible exit this summer, and the decision to leave the slot from the match-day team until an update occurs will only incite a flame of that possibility.

Florian Wirtz debut

German International made its debut in front of fans, but still had enough to stoke the appetite, so they played the 45-minute opening. Wirtz is skilled in finding space between the lines to get the ball, and was always on his eyes to find Mo Salah with exciting prospects before the season.

The 22-year-old delivered an exquisite early ball that Sarah couldn’t take advantage of, but it’s still early on. And the unity on display definitely hangs the fascinating outlook.

There were doubts about the opportunity to remain at Dominik Szoboszlai after Wirtz’s arrival, but the midfielder quickly moved and suggested that it should be there. The Hungarian star played well in a deeper position, creating match moments with his casual first half strike.

I got caught up in a break

Each goal that Liverpool admitted was broken and arrived down the wing. There was no shortage of space behind the scenes for the athletic abilities of the Milan attackers to eat and take advantage of them.

Defensively, the goals didn’t look good. But they are probably the kind of effort that we would expect to be recognized in a slightly makeshift backline. Players are still speeding up, learning to play with each other and how they should be spaced out to shut down such opportunities.

There’s no need to worry yet, but perhaps we’ll be keeping an eye out for the offensive prospects expected from the fullback position following the arrival of Jeremy Fripon and Milos Kerquez this summer.

Diogo tribute continues

Diogo Jota never far from Liverpool’s heart and heart, and Reds Star was once again at the centre of thought on Saturday. Kenny Dalglish placed a floral homage to the Premier League winner before the game as Liverpool supporters read the mosaic and raised “DJ 20.”

Each Liverpool shirt has a “Diogo 20” on the front and center, and even the much-loved attacker has not been forgotten during the game. Jota’s international teammate Rafael Leo showed No. 20 after opening the score. Then applause continued throughout the stadium as the 20-minute era was a hit.
