Rose is reported to be on Tottenham Hotspur’s shortlist following the sacking of manager Thomas Frank in February, but has never previously coached in England.
Known for his high-intensity pressing style, he is widely seen as Iraola’s natural successor.
Rose made his name with Red Bull Salzburg, winning back-to-back league titles in the 2017/18 and 2018/19 seasons and reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Europa League.
From there he joined Gladbach, leading the club to Champions League qualification in his first spell and reaching the last 16 of Europe’s elite competition the following season.
He was appointed manager of Borussia Dortmund, but was sacked after one season, despite finishing second behind Bayern Munich and winning 27 of his 47 games.
Rose spent two-and-a-half years with RB Leipzig, during which time he won the 2022-23 DFB Pokal, beating Oliver Glasner’s Eintracht in the final, and then added appearances in the DFL Supercup and German Cup to his resume.

Bournemouth, who are in eighth place, are hoping to finish the 2025/26 season on a high note as they aim to qualify for Europe for the first time in their history.
