Reuben Amorim oversees the rebuild with Manchester United and spends heavily on new signings, preparing to take a big financial hit on some of his bystanders
Manchester United are willing to accept Reuben Amorim’s offer of reduced prices for outcasts. Marcus Rashford’s asking price has been reduced to £26 million. Amorim has expelled five players: Rashford, Alejandro Garnacho, Jadon Sancho, Antony and Tyrell Malacia.
Rashford has confirmed a loan move to Barcelona for the upcoming season, but the rest of the future remains unresolved, with all four enveloping themselves.
Rashford received medical care in Barcelona on Monday ahead of his in-season loan agreement. Barca covers Rashford’s wages for the loan term. This is 27 years old and has earned £325,000 at United, but has accepted a 15% pay cut to move to Nou Camp.
The United team flew to the US on Tuesday to begin a pre-season tour two weeks ago, with Amorim having x all four of them from the travel party, staying behind and being forced to train.
Such is United’s desperation to offload marginalized players, and the club is willing to take a major blow to the transfer fees they may have received for them at their high value.

Garnacho’s highest market value was £70 million a year ago, but his shares have been so low that United are about to accept the 20-year-old winger’s fees of around £40 million. This is a similar story with Sancho, signed by Borussia Dortmund in 2021 for £73 million, but United are now happy to let go for £15 million.
Winger Antony joined United in 2022 for £86 million, but his value also plummeted. Currently, the clubs interested in signing him are estimated at £30 million, but Malacia, which had been £20 million a few years ago, will be able to accept a fee of around £5 million.
In the past, United have taken on tour players who have traveled to the US last summer and recently intended to sell Sancho, despite being loaned to Chelsea when the team returned to the UK. Romelu Lukaku took part in the Far East and Australia tours in 2019, but did not play for United for a minute prior to his transition to Inter Milan later that summer.
But there is the willingness of the United hierarchy to back up the ruthless decision to order Amorim to stay behind and train the exiled stars, but the rest of the squad highlights the strength of the support of the Portuguese head coach despite his devastating 15th finish last season.
