Bukayosaka welcomed the new arrival to Mikel Arteta’s team after wearing the captain’s armband for Arsenal in the summer preseason friendly opening
Bukayosaka says there is a high level of excitement in Arsenal’s dressing room after three summer signatures debuted against AC Milan in Singapore.
England star Saka scored his only goal in the Gunners opening preseason fixture while wearing the captain’s armband. And in addition to including the inclusion of a trio of starlets at the academy, Mikel Arteta also gave minutes to Christian Norgaard, Martin Zubimendi and Kepa Arizabaraga.
With Noni Maduke, who enjoys a break from Chelsea last week, and Viktor Gyokeres, the target of the IS dot and TS intersection before the Premier League season begins, Arsenal already appears to be buoyant after a relocation fee of around £182 million in the summer.
“Yeah, we’re very excited to have some new signatures,” Saka said after AC Milan’s victory. “The same group, we are all top quality players. We are confident in having a big year.”

Asked about Saka’s performance, Arteta said:
The Arsenal manager also made his debut with Max Douman and Marli Salmon.
“I’m very pleased with all the kids,” Arteta added. “Because of the environment and culture that is within the team, in my opinion, they can play at that level at age 15.
“Make sure someone makes you feel very comfortable and can do it right away. At least that gives you the best chance, and you have to have the qualities that this child has to oppose such opposition.”
