Fenerbahce goalkeeper Ederson was hit by a missile and was furious at cameras that tried to show him close-up as he lay on the ground.
Ederson hit by missile during Fenerbahce victory
Former Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson lashed out on camera after being hit by a missile while playing for Fenerbahce.
The Brazilian player hit an object and crashed to the ground during the match against Kayserispor. While Ederson was on the ground, broadcast camera personnel tried to get close-ups.
The camera was attached to a long claw and moved towards the goalie, who was furious when he realized the camera was so close to him. As a result, Ederson pushed it away, drawing jeers from the crowd.
Despite the disgusting scenes, the 32-year-old kept a clean sheet in Fenerbahce’s 4-0 win over Kayserispor and could face retroactive disciplinary action himself.
Fenerbahce, who have not won the Turkish league since 2014, are desperately trying to catch up with fierce rivals Galatasaray. Their victory means they are now just one point behind their cross-city rivals, even though they have played more games.

Fenerbahce recently lost for the first time this season against Fatih Karagmurk. Galatasaray have lost three times but have drawn five fewer games, allowing them to take control of the Turkish title race. Since that turnaround, Fenerbahce have responded well and bounced back to claim three wins.
During this period, they scored 9 goals and defeated 4th place Besiktas. Ederson, along with Domenico Tedesco, who was appointed to replace Jose Mourinho, achieved consecutive clean sheets and praised the solidity of the defense.

“I think this is important,” he said. “Defensive security is very important for us. Kayserispor is a team that never gives up. When we were 2-0 up and even when we were leading 3-0, they tried to play a lot of diagonal passes and crosses. This was our main focus during the international break. We tried to concentrate on this in training.”
“Defending inside the penalty area, blocking shots to avoid conceding goals. These are actually basic things. It was important for us to work on these. I don’t know if we would have had this result in the match because we worked on it in training. I don’t care either. What’s important for me is that that mentality continues. This means attacking together in defense.”
