Morgan Rodgers has had another excellent season at Aston Villa, with the English star attracting transfer interest from some of the biggest clubs in the Premier League and Europe.
Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United are set to test Aston Villa’s resolve for Morgan Rodgers in the summer transfer window, but they will face competition from Bayern Munich for the attacking midfielder.
Rodgers, 23, has been in the spotlight since joining Villa Park from Championship Middlesbrough in February 2024, scoring 24 goals and providing 23 assists since the start of last season. Seeing his excellent form, Villa signed him to a new contract in November, but that did not deter interest from their Premier League rivals and some of Europe’s elite.
Arsenal and United will be hoping to add a quality left-forward option to their respective squads in the summer transfer window, and Rodgers is comfortable playing in several attacking positions. Chelsea, like Arsenal, made their interest in Rodgers clear last summer and also have a strong interest in the England star.
Mirror Football understands that Bayern Munich are also fans of Rodgers, who starred for Villa in last year’s Champions League. And they could offer him the chance to continue his upward trajectory abroad as part of Vincent Kompany’s intrepid side who have already scored 100 Bundesliga goals this season.

While a good performance at the World Cup could significantly increase Rodgers’ profile and value, Villa will likely demand at least £80m to part ways with the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2024-25 season.
And while Villa are reluctant to lose a player of Rodgers’ quality, selling him for a huge sum would help ease their financial concerns.
It has been documented in recent weeks that Manchester United are targeting the left-wing position and undertaking a complete review of their central midfield options, with a permanent manager appointed in the summer.
Arsenal are also expected to overhaul their attacking line-up in the summer, and have long been keen on Rodgers, who was linked with a surprise move last summer.
The Gunners are likely to decide to sign either of their current left-wing options, Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli, in order to move Rodgers and free up space in the squad.
The former has one year left on his current contract at the Emirates, while Martinelli has struggled to rediscover the form that once made him a key player in Mikel Arteta’s side, scoring just one goal in the Premier League this season.
