Lisandro Martinez will be part of the Manchester United squad that heads to Dublin for a training camp on Monday, with the centre-back aiming to return for next week’s game against Leeds.

United announced a group of 25 players who will depart for Ireland for a short training camp on Monday ahead of the Premier League game against Leeds on April 13th. Martinez has not played for United since the 1-1 draw with West Ham on February 10 due to a calf injury and has missed the last five games.

Brian Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko are also included after leaving international duty with Cameroon and Slovenia respectively, and both are in line to face Daniel Farke’s side.

Matthijs de Ligt will be absent as he continues to recover from injury, while Diogo Dalot and Tom Heaton will be absent due to illness. De Ligt has not featured since the 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on November 30 due to a hip injury.

Patrick Dawg is in individual training at Carrington as he continues to rehabilitate from a hamstring injury and is included in the traveling squad, but the 21-year-old is not fit enough to play against Leeds, the Manchester Evening News reports. He has been sidelined since the 3-2 away win against Arsenal on January 25th.

Manager Michael Carrick has also called up academy youngsters Fred Heath, Yuel Heraf, Jim Thwaites and Victor Musa, whose training camp will run until Thursday.

Harry Maguire is also included in the squad, despite being suspended for the game against Leeds. United’s most recent game was a 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on March 20, but the international break and the FA Cup quarter-finals mean there will be a 24-day gap without a game.

The squad has been given some downtime during this period, with players on international duty given a few days off last weekend before regrouping in Carrington on Monday before departing for Ireland.

United have won seven of their 10 games under Carrick and sit third in the Premier League with 23 points from a potential 30. There are seven games remaining in the 2025/26 season, which will determine whether Carrick is appointed permanently.
