Gary Neville reportedly earns over £1 million a month through his podcasting business on top of his Sky Sports salary. The Manchester United legend’s Buzz 16 Productions, which manages projects such as Overlap, made a profit of £11.6m last year.

Meanwhile, The Sun reports that Mr Vaz distributed £4.6m in salary and pensions last year, while Mr Neville split more than £3m in dividends among three other directors. As well as contributing to shows such as Stick to Football and Fan Debate, Neville also appears on a short Sky Sports podcast covering Premier League matches with long-time broadcasting colleague Jamie Carragher.

In January, it also globally sold a majority stake in Overlap, which controls Classic FM, Capital, LBC and others. Neville said of the deal at the time: “Overlap started as an idea that we thought people would like, and we ran with it.

“It’s a team I love working with and am very proud to be a part of. We never thought of this as a business. We just wanted to make something that people would love.”

Neville regularly appears in overlaps with Carragher, Roy Keane, Ian Wright and Jill Scott, and has hosted a variety of high-profile guests over the years. The latest figures to feature on the show include Wayne Rooney, Ange Postecoglou, Ashley Cole, Rory McIlroy and Gareth Bale.

This comes after Neville, Keane and Carragher agreed for Manchester City’s FA Cup quarter-final match against Liverpool, scheduled for Saturday, April 4, at the Etihad Stadium.

Arne Slott’s side suffered a 3-0 defeat to Josep Guardiola’s Sky Blues earlier this season, but are now in the same position as second-place candidates for a place in the Final Four.

And Keane has quickly ignited debate over who will emerge victorious in Greater Manchester later this week. He said: “Liverpool are really bad.”

“You know, one of the worst performances I’ve seen this season was against Liverpool at Nottingham Forest. I know going back six or eight weeks ago, I said they were terrible champions.”

Mr Keane predicted a 2-1 win for City, but Mr Neville and Mr Carragher went a step further, saying the match would end 3-1 for City. Manchester City come into the match in great form, having beaten Arsenal 2-0 in last month’s Carabao Cup final with two goals from Nico O’Reilly.

Guardiola, who is still in contention for the Premier League title, will have his sights set on winning the domestic treble of the EPL, Carabao Cup and FA Cup ahead of this weekend’s match.

Manchester United, on the other hand, missed out on European football after finishing 15th last season and suffered early exits in domestic cup competitions at the hands of Grimsby and Brighton respectively, and have only the Premier League to focus on for the rest of the season.

The Reds currently occupy third place in the league table, largely due to the new energy Michael Carrick has injected into the club since taking over as interim head coach in January following the sacking of Ruben Amorim.

United also head into the final seven games of the season just six points behind second-placed City. Carrick and his team’s next game is at home to Leeds United at Old Trafford on Monday 13th April.
