Arn Slott has revealed Alisson will be out until ‘near the end of the season’ after the Liverpool goalkeeper suffered a setback while recovering from injury.

Liverpool star Alisson took to social media to deny he had suffered a new injury. The 33-year-old Brazilian missed Liverpool’s final game before the international break and did not take part in international duty.
Fans were hoping to see Alisson back between the posts on Saturday when Liverpool travel to Manchester City for the FA Cup quarter-finals. But it’s much worse than missing one more game.
Manager Arne Slott confirmed on Friday that Alisson would be out until “toward the end of the season.” “He will not even take part in the Paris Saint-Germain match,” Slott said at a press conference.
“He will be out for a little longer. Towards the end of the season we expect him to be fit again.”

A few hours later, Alison posted to X to clarify her situation. “No new injuries,” the goalkeeper wrote. “I am in the treatment phase and the plan is to be fully playable by the end of April!”
Giorgi Mamadashvili will also be in goal for the FA Cup match ahead of next Wednesday’s away Champions League quarter-final first leg against PSG. But without Alisson, there was good news on the injury front.
Mo Salah, who was absent from Liverpool’s 2-1 loss to Brighton alongside Alisson last month, is also expected to feature. “He’s (healthy),” Slott revealed. “He trained with us yesterday, he trained with us today and he will be available for tomorrow’s game.”

Regarding Jeremy Frimpong, who played just 12 minutes for the Netherlands on Tuesday before being forced off with an injury, the Liverpool manager said: “He seems to be OK. He trained well with us yesterday and he will train with us again (today).”
“But he was one of the players I mentioned against Brighton. I think you saw in the second half that you could see that he hasn’t really hit his stride yet in terms of (playing) every three days and then going back to the national team.”
Alexander Isak could have made his first appearance since suffering a broken leg in December, but only as a substitute. “It would definitely be too early to expect him to be in the starting lineup,” Slott added.
