Man Utd New Boy Bryan Mbeumo is aiming for a high after a £71 million move, looking to surpass the impressive tally of 20 Premier League goals last season.
The versatile forward believes he can improve his performance at Old Trafford and become the solution to United’s inactive scoring record with only 44 league goals in his previous campaign.
Mbeumo expressed his ambitions, saying, “As a striker and for myself, I always want to be better than yesterday. I am very demanding myself and I am always trying to do my best.”
Play anywhere on the front line, Mbeumo is ready to adapt to any position that new United manager Ruben Amorim thinks he deserves.
He added:
“Obviously, I played mainly as a winger at Brentford, but I don’t have one particular position I think I can do my best.
“But with Brentford, I was playing in my pocket as No. 10 or No. 9. I can play all those positions.
“Of course, I’ve played in many formations before, so that helps me. But obviously it’s now a new time and it’s different because each season is different.
“But no matter what position Gaffer is in that he wants to put me in, I’ll play there.”
