Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are eyeing a potential move for Paris Saint-Germain star Hviča Kvaratschelia, but the winger’s camp have not ruled out a summer move.
Arsenal are exploring a possible summer move for Paris Saint-Germain star Hviča Kvaratschelia.
According to The Independent, the Gunners are set to undergo a major overhaul of their squad this season, with Kvaratskhelia emerging as a key target.
The 25-year-old only joined PSG in January 2024 for £59m, but it is now reported that the camp is indeed open to a move.
However, it is unlikely that his current club will share this view, given his important role and the fact that the winger is considered the jewel of an ongoing project.
Meanwhile, the sale of senior players is being seriously considered in north London, with Arsenal aiming to sanction a sale this summer. This will give clubs further flexibility to take account of changes to the Premier League’s financial rules for squad cost ratios.

Nevertheless, Arsenal will immediately strengthen Mikel Arteta’s side this summer with the attacking addition of Kvaratschelia.
However, the Georgian still has three years left on his contract, and the deal appears to be very complicated. The player’s agent has not ruled out a move, but PSG are unlikely to consider leaving the club unless they are offered significant funds.
Luis Enrique’s side beat Arsenal to win the Champions League last season, and with both clubs now in the quarter-finals, there is a chance the two teams will meet in the final.

The reigning champions defeated Chelsea 8-2 on aggregate earlier this month, with Kvaratschelia finding the net three times. This accounts for a quarter of his goals this season, and the versatile forward has also provided seven assists in 37 appearances in total.
However, given his recent comments regarding PSG, it may take some serious persuasion to convince Kvaratschelia to move to the Premier League.
He told Le Parisien: “Paris is a really great place for me. It has everything here and, on top of that, it’s a city of love. I think my wife was the happiest person in the world when PSG called.”
“Before PSG approached me, she always said: “Imagine, one day you play for PSG and it would be incredible to live there.” I say: “Yes, of course.”
“But in my heart I knew it would be very difficult to go there, with great players like (Lionel) Messi, Neymar and (Kylian) Mbappe.
“I love Paris. I love everything about Paris. The more I think about it, the more I appreciate how respectful the people are. When I go out, they don’t really care. For example, in a restaurant, they ask before taking a photo. I really like that. It’s a great city to walk around with my wife.”
Atletico Madrid’s Julián Alvarez has also been linked as a serious target for the Gunners, with the former Manchester City forward currently active in Spain.
