Tottenham need to consider further managerial changes as Igor Tudor continues to struggle as Roberto de Zerbi is linked with a return to the Premier League in a bid to save the club.
Tottenham have been forced to reconsider their management plans, with Roberto De Zerbi being considered ahead of the summer, after concerns of relegation were raised on Sunday.
After losing to Nottingham Forest, manager Igor Tudor was unable to make the impact he had hoped after just seven games in charge, leaving them just one point behind the bottom three. The Croatian has only been appointed until the end of the season, but has only won one of his seven matches.
Tottenham continue to be lackluster and with the international break just around the corner, now is the ideal time to make a change with only a few games remaining.
With three weeks to go until Tottenham play Sunderland, The Times reports that discussions are taking place over whether to sign De Zerbi. The Italian is among several names on the shortlist, which also includes Mauricio Pochettino and Andoni Iraola.
De Zerbi left Marseille earlier this year and is the only player currently out of a job. There is also a possibility that they will invite him and include a release clause in his contract, taking into account the fact that he will be relegated.

De Zerbi previously impressed at Brighton and eventually has Premier League experience as well. This has been cited as one of the biggest problems in hiring Tudor, who had never worked in England before being tasked with turning Tottenham’s fortunes around. Of his 15 points in the league, only one has come with Liverpool.
Tottenham must host Wolves, who are bottom of the league, and Leeds, another team in the relegation zone, before the end of the season. They will host Everton in the final game of the season, but the battle for survival could well continue until the final day of the campaign.
The club, which has been in the Premier League since its inception in 1992, has already sacked one manager this season, with Thomas Frank ordered to leave in February.
Tottenham took kindly to Tudor following the news that his father, Mario, had passed away. The Croatian did not fulfill his media duties after the defeat against Forest, saying his assistant was dealing with personal issues.
A club statement on Monday said: “Everyone at Tottenham Hotspur is deeply saddened to hear of the death of Igor Tudor’s father Mario. Our thoughts and condolences go to Igor and his family at this incredibly difficult time.”
