Leandro Trossard and Gabriel Magalhaes have both withdrawn from their respective national teams due to injury, amid growing concerns for Mikel Arteta.
Arsenal have had six first-team players withdrawn from their national camps this month as the Gunners face the worst possible timing for a growing injury crisis.
Mikel Arteta saw his side’s quadruple dreams disappear against Wembley and will now face a two-week break before getting the result out of his system. However, London Colney is expected to have more players than expected due to a number of injury concerns.
Leandro Trossard has been left out of the Belgium national team ahead of this month’s international break due to injury. The forward was ready to join his national team mates for a friendly doubleheader against the United States and Mexico.
The Red Devils are one of a number of teams heading to North America for games over the next two weeks in preparation for this summer’s World Cup in the region. However, due to injury, Trossard will remain at the club during the international break.
The 31-year-old played 82 minutes in Sunday’s Carabao Cup defeat to Manchester City before being replaced by Gabriel Martinelli. The decision for him not to travel to Belgium was taken in consultation with Arsenal, with a focus on maintaining his fitness following his recent hip problem at Mansfield.

Defender Gabriel Magalhães has withdrawn from the national team, along with Trossard and other Arsenal players. The Brazilian will miss the international friendlies against France and Croatia due to pain in his right knee, the CBF announced.
Eberechi Eze and Julian Timber were forced to withdraw from the English and Dutch systems. Eze will be replaced by Harvey Barnes, who will be accompanied by Arsenal right-back Ben White.
The defender was recalled to the England squad by manager Thomas Tuchel three years after his last international appearance. William Saliba injured his left ankle in Sunday’s game at Wembley and will miss the upcoming games against Brazil and Colombia.

The French Football Federation has announced that Crystal Palace’s Maxence Lacroix will take over as his successor. “William Saliba will not be able to participate in the French national team’s training camp, which starts this Monday, March 23,” the statement read.
“The Arsenal centre-back is suffering from recurring pain in his left ankle and will require treatment and at least 10 days of rest.”
They will all remain in Mikel Arteta’s squad to regain full fitness. Captain Martin Odegaard will also join the team after being sidelined for a month with a knee injury.
Manager Mikel Arteta is optimistic that either Odegaard or Eze will recover in time for the FA Cup quarter-final against Southampton on Saturday, April 4. A Champions League away game against Sporting in Portugal is also scheduled for Tuesday, April 7th.
The Gunners’ next Premier League game isn’t until next Saturday, with congestion expected at the end of the season, and three trophies still within reach.
