Following Tottenham Hotspur’s 3-0 home defeat to Nottingham Forest, Igor Tudor was informed of the loss of his family and did not undertake post-match media duties.
Spurs assistant coach Bruno Sartor spoke on behalf of the Croatian following the result, which left the club just one point above the relegation zone. Nottingham Forest started the afternoon below Tottenham in the table, but thanks to goals from Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White and Taiwo Awoniyi, they are two points clear of the north London side.
Mr. Salter explained that it was not the right time for the Tudors to address reporters. The former Chelsea manager said after the match: “I’m stepping in because it’s personal issues, family issues and it’s not the right time for him to talk.”
“Every mistake now is against us, every detail is against us and it also affects the players,” he added. “You can see how hard they are fighting. We all know we are in a difficult situation.

“We were the better team in the first half so we need to be consistent. We were down 1-0 so we wanted to be a little more aggressive with the players coming back from injury. It didn’t go to plan, but that was our intention.”
“It hurt, it hurt, it really hurt, but the fans today were amazing from before the game until the end of the game.

“We have to keep going because we care about Spurs, we’re a family and we want to get out of this situation. I’m 100% confident we’ll get through this situation.”
This defeat leaves Tottenham with just seven games left in the Premier League this season, putting them in real jeopardy. Meanwhile, Forest are three points ahead of West Ham thanks to their first league win since Vitor Pereira’s appointment.
