Tottenham Hotspur 0-3 Nottingham Forest: Igor Tudor and his team were booed in a heartbreaking home defeat to their relegation rivals, who started the afternoon bottom of the table.
Tottenham Hotspur suffered a relegation-clinching six-point defeat at home to Nottingham Forest, leaving them in a precarious position near the bottom of the Premier League table, making it increasingly likely that the unthinkable will happen.
Spurs finished 17th last season but made up for it by winning the Europa League under manager Ange Postecoglou. However, the domestic woes continue this season, first under Thomas Frank and now his successor Idor Tugor.
They go into Sunday’s showdown with Nottingham Forest just one point above Vitor Pereira’s side.
However, goals from Igor Jesus, Morgan Gibbs-White (a player destined to join the club from Forest in the summer) and Taiwo Awoniyi saw Tottenham slip back into the table.

West Ham also lost away to Aston Villa, leaving Spurs just one point above the drop zone.
Jesus gave the visitors a valuable breakthrough just before half-time, scoring a perfect header from a corner just inches past Guglielmo Vicario.
Gibbs-White, who was the subject of offers from Tottenham before signing a new contract with Forest last summer, scored the second goal, and Awonih added another with three minutes left to give the club a big boost in their bid to avoid relegation.
Tottenham only had three shots on target in this crucial shootout, and such a modest defeat at home will put even more pressure on the beleaguered Tudors.
The Croatian, who was drafted before the end of the season, failed to win any of his five Premier League matches in charge, and there are already hints that Spurs could make another managerial change to change their fortunes.
Pereira, on the other hand, was active in the Premier League as Forest manager, winning his first league win at the expense of Tottenham. They currently sit two points above Spurs but are still mired in relegation.
With seven games left, time is running out for Tottenham to pull themselves out of the crisis. But at the moment it’s hard to see where the next victory will come from.
