Manchester City will face Arsenal in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final, with the two teams also competing for the Premier League title playing in contrasting form.
Manager Jeremy Doku has warned Arsenal that Sunday’s Carabao Cup final will be “good therapy” for a struggling Manchester City side. City star Duco failed to prevent Josep Guardiola’s side from being eliminated from the Champions League on Tuesday, losing 2-1 to Real Madrid, adding to last week’s 3-0 defeat in Spain.
With this loss, City have now gone winless in four of their last five games in all competitions. Next up will be an interesting match against Arsenal. Arsenal opened the weekend with a nine-point lead over Premier League leaders City.
Doc believes the Wembley highlight could be a tonic for City, who have a string of season-defining games in three different competitions over the coming weeks. “It’s good therapy,” Doc said of the final.
“We will do everything we can to win that game and win the trophy. The next four games are very important. Now we have to recover for Sunday and take it one game at a time.”

After facing Arsenal in their last game before the international break, City will host Liverpool in the FA Cup quarter-finals on April 4. Doc and his teammates then travel to Chelsea to welcome Arsenal to the Etihad for a potential title decider.
“There’s still a lot to play for,” the 23-year-old added. “We still have three competitions to play and three trophies to win, so if we can do that it will be a great season.
“Obviously I’m disappointed in the Champions League. It’s always nice to win a trophy, but there are some lessons to be learned from these two games (against Real). We have to recover well and we’re looking forward to the next game.”

Despite losing the second leg, Doc insists City, who were down to 10 men in the first half after Bernardo Silva was sent off for handball, can be “proud” of their performance. “When you play against such a big team 10-11 and still perform as well as us, you put them in a difficult situation. Not every team can do that,” insisted the Belgian.
“Unfortunately we didn’t win, but we can look into each other’s eyes and be proud. We played well. We played well at 11-on-11 and 10-on-11. We created chances.”
“If we played like that every game, a lot of teams would be in trouble. We can take some good things from this game into the next game.”
