Liverpool beat Wolves 3-1 in the FA Cup, with Andy Robertson playing a key role in the victory.
Andy Robertson has spoken about his lack of playing time at Liverpool this season and the competition from summer signing Milos Kerkes. Robertson played a key role in the Reds defeating Wolves in the FA Cup fifth round on Friday night.
The Scotland international scored the opening goal in a 3-1 win at Molineux on Friday night and also provided an assist for teammate Mohamed Salah.
Robertson’s future has been the subject of speculation due to his lack of regular or starting appearances this season.
The Scotland international made his 27th appearance for Liverpool this season in the win over Wolves and his 14th start of the season in all competitions.

The signing of Kerkez last summer meant Robertson has played more often as the club’s second-choice left-back for Liverpool this season, but the veteran defender has explained his motivation for his performance against Wolves.
“I don’t know if I have anything to prove in a Liverpool shirt,” Robertson told BBC Sport. “I think the fans know that I give everything every time I step on the pitch and I hope they believe that.
“I’ve been doing it for nine years, so it’s not really[that I need to prove anything]I just want to enjoy it when I’m on the pitch.”
Robertson also explained how he has managed competition with Kerkes this season and claimed that this is not a new scenario in his career.
He said: “That’s the way it is. Milos is a fantastic left-back, had an incredible season at Bournemouth last season and took a bit of time to get used to a big club, but that’s what everyone does.”
“The club has to move on. The players who have been here for a long time, we are not getting any younger, we are already in our 30s and we have to replace them.
“We know that and that’s what we want from the club. We want them to be ambitious, we want them to fight on all fronts and we have to accept that.
“I’ve been exposed to competition throughout my career and this season is no different. Of course I haven’t played as many games as I would have liked, but that’s part of football.”
