Speculation that Cristiano Ronaldo has left Saudi Arabia emerged after his private jet was spotted landing in Madrid on Monday, with Al Nasr’s next match postponed.
Al Nasr posted an update that seems to confirm that Cristiano Ronaldo is still in Saudi Arabia. Ronaldo’s luxury private jet departed from the club’s home base of Riyadh on Monday and arrived in Madrid at nearly 1am.
It was the same night that a drone struck the US embassy in Riyadh, as the Middle East conflict entered its fourth day following attacks on Iran by the US and Israel. As a result, Al Nasr’s next match on Wednesday was postponed.
Ronaldo, 41, and his teammates were scheduled to face Dubai’s Al Wasl in the quarter-finals of the Asian Champions League. It was later revealed that the Portuguese player’s private jet – which he bought for £61 million – had left Sadie, sparking speculation that Ronaldo himself had fled the area.
However, it appears the former Manchester United superstar is still in Saudi Arabia. On Tuesday afternoon, Al Nasr shared images of their players, including Ronaldo, in training.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner played 81 minutes and missed a penalty in Al Nasr’s 3-1 win away to Al Faiha on Saturday. Ronaldo was seen using an ice pack after being sent off, and Al Nasr manager issued a medical certificate confirming he had sustained a hamstring injury.
“Cristiano Ronaldo was diagnosed with a hamstring injury after his last match against Alfa Fija,” the statement read. “He has started a rehabilitation program and will be evaluated daily.”
All matches in this week’s Saudi Professional League are currently scheduled to take place as scheduled, with Al Nasr scheduled to host Neom this Saturday. Other sporting events are also being affected.
