Arsenal’s financial results for 2024-25 have been released, with the Gunners posting a staggering deficit despite breaking club records in terms of revenue after performing well in the Premier League and Champions League.
Arsenal posted an overall loss of £1.4m for the 2024/25 season, despite a record income of £691m. However, the downside is that it is a significant improvement on the £17.7m loss recorded from the year ending 31 May 2024.
This is also a marked improvement on the £52.1m loss that Arsenal Holdings Limited had recorded from 31 May 2023. This positive trajectory aligns well with the club’s continued efforts in the Premier League and across Europe.
Arsenal look increasingly likely to win their first league title in more than 20 years at the end of the season, sitting top of the table with a five-point lead over second-placed Manchester City with 10 games remaining.

Mikel Arteta also contributed to the team’s progress in this season’s Champions League, finishing first in the league and heading straight to the knockout stages.
As a result, the club benefited from increased broadcast income and the prize money that comes with progressing through Europe’s premier competitions. This helped offset increases in wages and other costs, which ultimately rose to £346.8m.
This is still £61.6m lower than City’s recently published payslip for 2024/25.
Elsewhere, the sales of Emile Smith Rowe, Eddie Nketiah and Aaron Ramsdale contributed to increased profits from the sale of player registrations and player loans, rising from £52.4m in 2023/24 to £81.7m in 2024/25.
Commenting on this year’s results via Arsenal’s official website, CEO Richard Garlick said: “These financial results demonstrate a positive trajectory as we continue to chase big trophies, returning to the Men’s UEFA Champions League for a second successive season in 2024-25.”
“Investment in our teams, supported by increased revenue, led to strong campaigns for our men’s and women’s teams last season. Our industry continues to face challenges in terms of the level of investment required to compete at the highest level in the face of rising costs in a regulated environment.”

“We continue to build something special on the back of these improved financial results. Our team is working hard to bring us big trophies and I would like to thank all of our staff for their passion and dedication in achieving our goals.”
“The coming months are a great opportunity for all of us, and it is important that we continue to build momentum together.”
