Manchester United are huge fans of Elliott Anderson, but are also keeping an eye on Nottingham Forest team-mate Morgan Gibbs-White ahead of the summer transfer window.
Manchester United are said to be monitoring Morgan Gibbs-White and could make a sensational move to bring him and Nottingham Forest team-mate Elliot Anderson to Old Trafford in the summer.
It is well documented that United are set to prioritize midfielders in the next transfer window as they look to revamp their engine room, and while Anderson has been praised for his stellar year for club and country, competition for the 23-year-old is likely to be intense.
Nottingham Forest are expected to demand a steep transfer fee of £100m to part with their star midfielder, but another top star is also being courted by United.
The Mail claims Gibbs-White, 27, is being tracked by United and other Premier League clubs and are prepared to take advantage of Forest if they succumb to relegation.

However, United could be hampered by a new salary structure in their bid to sign Gibbs-White or Anderson, as clubs aim to cut payroll costs. And it could also open the door for Manchester City, with United’s rivals reportedly also interested in both players.
Gibbs-White is said to have a release clause in the new contract he signed after his £60m move to Tottenham fell through last summer, and there is even a possibility of him being signed if manager Vitor Pereira can guide Nottingham Forest to safety.
The same can be said of Anderson, who has established himself in England’s first team under manager Thomas Tuchel.
A top-four finish and Champions League qualification would be a huge financial boost for United, who could save more than £100m if Michael Carrick continues his current form.
Casemiro, who is on a wage of around £375,000 a week, has already confirmed his departure, and the release of some of their highest-paid players could further increase their purchasing power.
Jadon Sancho, who is reportedly on a reported £250,000-a-week salary, is also likely to leave permanently, while Marcus Rashford is tipped to make his loan move to Barcelona permanent.
