Arsenal had won the Premier League title just a few weeks ago, but now Man City will smell blood after capitulating meekly to the doomed Wolves.
Even the most red-tinted bespectacled Arsenal fan will now be tempted to give up on the title. This was an implosion at Molineux, an utter mess and a disgrace to the performance.
Arsenal are a million miles away from being potential champions and they certainly don’t have the mentality to stomach a fight.
In the game against Molineux, they surrendered a two-point lead to bottom-placed Wolves. Wolves are still in danger of becoming the worst team in Premier League history with record low scores.
And Wolves fans chanted “Another second, another second, ole, ole”, mocking the Arsenal players who lost their heads in the meltdown and mayhem.
The equalizer in the 92nd minute was decided by a collision between keeper David Raya and defender Gabriel, and Tom Edsey, making his Wolves debut, fired a shot that Arsenal substitute Riccardo Calafioli was unable to block.

Arsenal looked completely doomed in the closing stages as they squandered a chance to build a seven-goal lead and conceded another goal paving the way for Manchester City.
City still have a five-point lead with a game in hand and will be looking to exploit Arsenal’s fragility and weaknesses. They were there for everyone to see. And the biggest problem is a lack of mentality. They looked shot and dismembered after the final whistle, with manager Mikel Arteta looking like a broken man in a TV interview.
Frankly, they’ve finished second the past three seasons and this was supposed to be the year, but they seem further away than ever.
They took a 1-0 lead against Brentford last week, but this was even worse because it felt like a collapse that went to the heart of Arsenal’s challenge. This felt like Arsenal’s worst performance of the season, as they made it 1-0 through Bukayo Saka after five minutes, but instead of building on it, they pulled Wolves back.

Now, it feels like the season is on the brink for Arsenal, as performances like this are inexcusable and they don’t look strong enough to win major trophies. You also have to wonder if Arteta will be able to get the job done if he doesn’t do it this year, but that seems pretty unlikely at the moment.
And the problem is, Arsenal have been here before. They surrendered top spot to City but looked like rabbits in the headlights against Molineux. They looked scared and couldn’t stand the pressure. The door to the City is wide open.
It should have been easy after Saka scored a goal to celebrate his new five-year contract. Declan Rice curled in a cross and Saka’s sharp header went past keeper Jose Sá’s legs.
Instead of hammering it home, Arsenal let it slip away. The front three of Noni Madueke, Victor Gyokeres and Gabriel Martinelli was too poor. Gökeres’ contract was too poor.

The team as a whole is far from convincing at the moment. However, Gabriel pushed Hincapie into the net for his first goal for the club and his second.
It should have gotten the job done. However, Arsenal have become hopeless. Gabriel conceded possession. This allowed Hugo Bueno to cut in from the right, switch to his left foot and fire a sensational shot into the top corner.
To make matters worse, there was a disastrous mix-up in Arsenal’s defence. Arsenal keeper David Raya spilled the ball after colliding with Gabriel, and Edgier’s shot hit Calafioli on the line.
When Liverpool led City 1-0 at Anfield 10 days ago, Arsenal briefly led by nine points. After City came back to win and close the gap, it feels like they lost focus. And now they are in serious danger of seeing their entire season crumble to dust.
