John Heitinga was drafted in last month to strengthen Tottenham’s backroom team, but the former Everton defender has already left the role following the sacking of Thomas Frank.
John Heitinga is among a number of staff to leave Tottenham as the club’s new head coach, Igor Tudor, sets about building his own backroom team.
The former Juventus manager, 47, has agreed to a contract until the end of this season, following last week’s decision to sack manager Thomas Frank. The Dane resigned after winning just seven Premier League games this season, with Spurs currently sitting second in the table and five points above the relegation zone.
Tudor officially started work on Monday, but will face a baptism of fire this weekend in his first game in charge, when he faces Arsenal in a north London derby.
He was joined by some new faces, which coincided with the departure of Heitinga and other players from Tottenham.

Tudor was joined by assistant Ivan Javorčić, physical coach Riccardo Lagnacci and goalkeeper coach Tomislav Rogić. Heitinga and Justin Cochrane are leaving the club, while it is understood Chris Haslam and Joe Newton will also not continue as part of Tudor’s squad.
Heitinga’s departure comes just 32 days after the former Everton defender was drafted to strengthen Frank’s backroom team, but there was even speculation that Heitinga could be asked to take charge of the first team if Tottenham choose to hire an interim manager.
The Dutchman has held positions at West Ham, Ajax and Liverpool, where he was one of Arne Slott’s assistants.
However, he left his Anfield post in May, just weeks after Slott and Co. led the club to the Premier League title.
Heitinga left the club to become his own manager at Ajax. Unfortunately, he was sacked after just 15 games in charge of the Dutch giants, who were struggling in the Eredivisie.
