Simon Jordan and Eni Aluko clashed on talkSPORT on Tuesday, with a clip going viral online that appeared to show the pair having a heated conversation while the microphones were turned off.
Simon Jordan has revealed what he said to Eni Aluko in a heated off-air moment that was caught on camera. Former Lionesses star Aluko appeared on Jordan’s TalkSPORT show for an hour on Tuesday as his feud with Ian Wright and Laura Woods continues.
Typically, Jordan didn’t hold back while on air with presenter Jim White. However, fans watching the radio station’s YouTube stream noticed the former Crystal Palace owner’s animated moment with Aluko during an advertising break, and the audioless clip went viral.
Lip readers tried to figure out what Jordan said, and now he has figured things out. “First of all, I didn’t launch a violent attack against Eni,” Jordan said on Wednesday’s show.
“I was asked to repeat what I said about her on the last show. So I did that. I think it’s a little bit of sincerity. I also limited myself to that situation by saying that a lot of people might think that about me.”

“What I said to Eni during the break was, ‘You were stupid to go after Ian Wright. Whatever the reason, he’s a national treasure. You were stupid to do that and it’s your own fault. You brought this on yourself.’
“It was a fluid exchange. It wasn’t adversarial.”
Aluko had a falling out with Wright after the Arsenal legend refused to accept her apology, claiming she was blocking her path to becoming a female announcer by acting as a pundit on women’s football. Aluko clashed with Woods this week.
Like Wright, Aluko has also worked with Woods at ITV. In a post on
Her showdown with Jordan takes up more column inches. He flatly told Arco, “I don’t think you’re particularly enlightened, enlightened, charming or charismatic.”

Jordan continued, “To me, the words you use seem to be imbued with a sense of entitlement. The weight of entitlement that you believe you have would sink the weight of the Titanic.”
“I think you’ve been totally lucky. I think because of initiatives like DEI, they’ve allowed people to be put in positions in the men’s game that I don’t see as meritorious. I listened to your opinion about Ian Wright, and I’ve known Ian for 25 years. Ian is under no obligation in any way, shape or form to provide you with any support system or give you any sense of entitlement.”
Arco defended himself by saying: “Those are opinions and we’re all entitled to them. I value them and everyone has them…I listen to the professional opinions, the people who have employed me for the last 11 years, the opinions of the biggest broadcasters in the world.”
“By default, if I’m working with people who are considered good broadcasters, if I’m next to them, by default I’m also considered a good broadcaster. I appreciate it, but the truth is, I’ve been good enough for 11 years. And like I said, I’m the person who goes to get feedback to say, ‘I think you’re having a hard time.’ That never happens.”
