Harry Kane is regularly linked with a Premier League return from Bayern Munich, but Saudi Arabia could actually be the England captain’s next destination
England captain Harry Kane is reportedly on the radar of Saudi Arabian clubs as his contract with Bayern Munich progresses smoothly. The former Tottenham striker enjoyed a sensational spell at the Allianz Arena after joining in 2023.
However, with just 18 months remaining on Kane’s current contract, his future is up in the air. The Saudi side is now increasing its interest, aiming to take advantage of that fact.
According to German outlet Kicker, both Al Ahly and Al Ittihad are interested in signing Kane ahead of the summer transfer window, with the latter having recently lost former Real Madrid star Karim Benzema to Al Hilal. It has also been suggested that he may choose to trigger the £61m release clause in his contract, which must happen by the end of this month.
Interest from the Premier League has also been noted, although it has not been revealed which clubs would be interested in the English star. From Bayern’s point of view, they have already started negotiations for a new contract and have no intention of losing Kane.
“We are talking with Harry,” Bayern manager Max Eberl recently told Sky Germany. “We all know that at some point we have to make a decision.”

Bayern CEO Jan Christian Dresen added: “Harry has great confidence in us and feels comfortable in Munich. He and his family are already settled. So there is no reason for us to rush.”
Kane, 32, has had another sensational season. He has scored 38 goals in just 33 appearances in all competitions this season, including two in Sunday’s 5-1 win over Hoffenheim.
After the match, Kane said: “Obviously there was some anxiety around the team after not winning a few games over the last few weeks. That’s why it was important for us to stay calm and stay true to ourselves. We’ve had a full week to prepare and the level of training has been very high.”
“You can see the team is fit, the team is healthy and everyone is pushing to get on the field. And you saw that again today, especially in the first 15 minutes. We came with real intensity. Then they went down to 10 men and that disrupted our rhythm a little bit.”

“We needed about 15 or 20 minutes to get back into our game and style. Credit to Hoffenheim. They are a good team and are playing good football. We know we are entering an important phase of the season. We have a good lead at the top at the moment, but as we saw last week, that gap can close quickly.”
“Early on in the season we said we wanted to be in a good position in February and March with a fit and healthy squad. We are top of the table, still in the DFB Pokal and finished in the last eight of the Champions League.
“This is a good moment for us. The season really starts now and we have to carry on from here and see who can catch up.”
Bayern are on track to add another Bundesliga crown to their collection, with a six-point lead over nearest challengers Borussia Dortmund.
