There is no doubt that Premier League title rivals Arsenal and Manchester City will face each other two more times this season, but due to cup competitions, they could face each other up to five times.
Arsenal and Manchester City will continue to battle it out for the Premier League title, but whoever wins will likely grow tired of seeing each other by the end of the season.
That’s because the meeting between Mikel Arteta and Josep Guardiola in next month’s Carabao Cup final could be a prelude to four more games between the two sides before the end of the season, given that both teams are still in the FA Cup and Champions League.
Arsenal and City are set to do everything in their power to win the first major trophy of the season at Wembley on March 22nd, before meeting again in the Premier League on April 18th, a match likely to have major title implications.
The FA Cup fifth round is due to take place on the weekend of March 7-8, and a draw could occur at that stage or later in the competition if Arsenal and City negotiate draws with Wigan Athletic and Salford City respectively.

There is also the possibility that both sides will automatically qualify for the last 16 before facing each other in the Champions League.
Due to seeding rules, Arsenal and City will not face each other at this stage of the tournament, but they could draw each other in the quarter-finals. The quarter-finals will be a two-legged affair and are scheduled for April 7th and 8th, with the second match taking place a week later.
Arsenal have widened their six-point lead over City, who lost the domestic title to Liverpool last year, and are in pole position in the title race.
But City’s brilliant late fightback against the Reds on Sunday kept Arsenal close to avoid falling further behind Arteta’s side.
Guardiola has already touched on the fact that Arsenal and City could end up playing against each other multiple times this season before everything is settled, saying: “It can happen. In the Champions League you never know what can happen. In the Premier League, the game is there. The game is there.”
“When finally a good team arrives in the late stages, maybe you can face it. I love it, especially when you play in the final.”
