On Saturday, Mohamed Salah made more history as Liverpool beat Newcastle at Anfield, completing the Egyptian feat ahead of Wayne Rooney and Thierry Henry.
Mohamed Salah made further Premier League history on Saturday night with the assist that made him the most goal contribution ever on a single ground.
The Egyptian’s tough season continues to be marked by a lack of success, but he helped his team-mates pull a point back as the Reds defeated Newcastle to end a five-game winless run in the league.
His total goals tally at Anfield now stands at 152, with 107 goals and 45 assists. He has overtaken Wayne Rooney, who scored 151 goals at Old Trafford, which also includes 101 goals for Manchester United.
Thierry Henry’s exploits at Highbury saw him once leading the list. Similar to Rooney, he was involved in 151 goals, of which he recorded 114 goals and 37 assists.
Salah is currently distinguishing himself by claiming further records in England’s top flight. He has been ruthless during his long spell with the Reds, particularly at home on Merseyside, but now boasts achievements that look set to last for some time.

Despite signing a lucrative new contract less than a year ago, the Egyptian’s future at Anfield remains uncertain beyond this season. His form has been sluggish, he has yet to hit double digits and is on the verge of posting his worst scoring record of a season with the club — and now his age is being used against him.
Salah himself did little to quash transfer rumors when he launched an attack immediately after the draw against Leeds in December. The player claimed the club had “thrown him under the bus” and had nothing to do with bench forward Arne Slott.
Liverpool must have feared their poor performance would continue after Anthony Gordon put Newcastle ahead after losing late on against Bournemouth last week. That lead lasted just five minutes as Hugo Ekitike began a comeback in victory for the Reds, who had been on the back foot for the first time since April.
Slott said, “I think we’ve come back from behind many times and shown our mentality many times, but unfortunately, like last week, we conceded a goal at the end.So, I think it wasn’t just that we came back and won (from a comeback), but that was the whole way we won.It was the way we defended in our own box, and the desire to attack the opponent’s box.”
