Alisson Becker – 7
He was caught by Gordon early on and was at times shaky when dealing with Newcastle’s barrage of first-half corners, but his handling proved reliable after the restart.
Dominik Szoboszlai – 7
Initially reluctant to move forward on the wing, he was reliable in his defensive responsibilities and developed into an attacking force after the interval.
Ibrahima Konate – 9
When he returned to the starting XI, he put in a fantastic performance, dominating Newcastle’s forwards from start to finish. His late strike caused emotional scenes and was well appreciated.
Virgil van Dijk – 7
His aerial prowess proved crucial defensively as Newcastle bombarded Liverpool’s penalty area before half-time, helping his Nous secure victory.
Milos Kerkes – 7
He struggled against Elanga in the early stages and made the mistake of giving Gordon space to break out, but he showed sharp thinking and set up Ekitike’s second and came out much stronger.
Ryan Gravenbirch – 7
It took some time for him to make an impact with his forward play, but he created a chance for Ekitike in the first half and was involved in the tying goal.
Alexis Mac Allister – 7
He unintentionally contributed to Newcastle’s opener and looked off-pace at times before finding his rhythm in the second half. I made a reservation.
Mohamed Salah – 7
Although he played the ball too often against Hall in the first half, his willingness to keep running opened up space for his teammates and ultimately led to an assist to Wirtz. With subtitles.
Florian Wirtz – 8
The first quarter was quiet, but they got involved and did a great job setting up the tying goal and some fine plays before scoring the third goal.
Kodi Gakpo – 7
Although they showed a good effort, they lacked the finishing touch in the first half and at times frustrated the home supporters. However, his pressing helped score the third goal and began to trouble Newcastle.
Hugo Ekitike – 9
The only Liverpool player to threaten Pope early on, before scoring two goals, especially the second one, brilliantly. Another outstanding all-round attacking performance.
